giveaway day

It's giveaway day over at Sew, Mama, Sew!
I will be giving away a copy of my soon-to-be-released sun bonnet PDF pattern
plus three fat quarters of fabric to make your own bonnet.

Giveaway is open until 7:00 p.m. central time on May 25th and is open to international entries.
Winner will be drawn at random.

  14. How sad that I am having to search my brain to remember what I last read when I used to read all the time! (2 kids under 2 years do not leave much free time!) One of my favorites is "Chateau of Echos" by Siri Mitchell.

  15. I just recently finished "The Hunt" by Andrew Fukuda. It was a good book. Before that it was "Catching Fire" the 2nd Hunger Games book. And before that "She Speaks To Angels". As you can probably tell, I read a LOT.

  30. Oh, I absolutely need that for the baby! (And she looks so sweet in sunbonnets!) I'm reading the Warcraft books at the moment :) but, since I doubt there's *too* much overlap with sewing people and Warcraft, I'll recommend... the White House Chef mysteries, or the Tea Shop mysteries... or biographies of the Mitford sisters. (All things I've read lately.)

    Actually the book that I just finished and enjoyed is Murder Buys a T-Shirt by Christy Fifield. What can I say, I'm hooked on campy murder series books.

    The book I just read that I loved is Voyages, by Gordon Miller. Its a history of the discovery/settlement of the west coast of North America, accompanied by a ton of Gordon Miller's beautiful ocean paintings. Truly informative AND gorgeous to look at too.

  91. The best book I have read recently is called "The Price of Life" by Nigel Brennan & Nicole Bonney & Kellie Brennan.
    It is a true story which isn't usually my thing but I know Kellie and so I thought I would support her and read it. Turns out to be one of the best books I have ever read. Highly recommend it.

  92. Okay, I am TOTALLY giving away my age with this, but I feel in love with sun bonnets as a kid watching "Little House on the Praire" and reading Laura Ingalls Wilder's books!!! The best book I have read recently is "A Deadly Grind" by Victoria Hamilton. It is a cozy mystery and the main character is a collector of antique/vintage kitchen items!
