bib photos + coupon code

I find it exciting to see pictures of something someone has made using my pattern!
Here are bibs from a couple of my pattern testers.

I love this bib Gail made - her fabric choice is so fun!

Another cute bib - made by Natalie.
With all the fabric choices available, so many fun bibs could be made!

keep clean bib

Just stopping by to let you know our good news -
A baby boy joined our family on Sunday, April 21st at 1:32 pm!  Everyone is very excited and the girls LOVE their new brother!  I hope to have a couple pictures to share later.

In other/shop news, I just released my new bib pattern.  The Keep Clean Bib is an easy quick-sew, full-coverage bib PDF pattern.  The pattern/tutorial includes many color pictures to guide you in making a bib for your little one.  The bib is one size and fits most children from the age of 9 months all the way to 24 months.  This pattern is available as an instant download.  (Thank you Etsy!)
Pattern available here.

little ellie dress

I again had the chance to test a pattern for Marina at Wink Designs.
This time I tested the Little Ellie dress pattern - a cute pullover sundress with a round collar.

Wink Ellie Dress

This dress was quick to sew.  Being that it is a pullover dress, there was no messing around with zippers or buttons, which always saves time and makes the project go quicker!

This dress also works as a jumper with a little shirt underneath.
I love it when clothes I make can be used for many seasons!

This pattern is now available here.

laundry day embroidery

I have been working on my laundry day embroidery for many months.  I showed you a bit here.  Wow - that was over a year ago!  Well now it looks like this.

laundry day embroidery - a little sweetness

When I would find time and when I wasn't behind my sewing machine, I would pick this up and do a few more stitches.  I think my favorite part is the patchwork quilt!

Now I'm unsure if this is still a work-in-progress or a finish.  I don't know if I should do more stitching on the girl or not.  What do you think?

bib pattern testers needed

UPDATE:  Thank you to everyone who volunteered to test the bib pattern!
I have all the testers I need and hope to have the pattern released in a couple weeks!

I have a new pattern that is ready to be tested and am looking for a couple testers.
The pattern is a bib - size 6-24 months.  If you have a little one in this age range and would like to give my pattern a try, please email me at leaandlars (at) gmail (dot) com.

This is a quick-to-sew pattern and I would love to hear back from testers within a week or two!

quick finishes - grocery bags + cosmetic bag

I've been working on a couple quilts here and there but don't really have much to show right now.
I did finish up a few small projects though.  It's nice to have some quick finishes once in a while.
I decided to make myself a few more grocery bags using this pattern.  I have four (shared them here) and use them all the time but sometimes it just isn't enough...plus it's always fun to have a new bag!

I also made another open wide zipper pouch - a new cosmetic bag for myself! This one is the medium size. I didn't have the zipper size the tutorial calls for but went ahead and made it with a smaller zipper. It worked fine but just doesn't open as wide as it would with a longer zipper.

I hope you all had a great Easter weekend!  Happy Monday!
